The Experience
An experience built entirely around your dog.
No mini sessions, no rushing, no menu of packages — a considered process that ends in artwork you will keep forever.
The Dog Form Portrait Experience
01
Discovery Consultation
We begin with a conversation — your dog’s temperament and story, your home, and the artwork you imagine living with.
02
Planning the Session
We choose the setting, time of day, and approach that suits your dog, and prepare for an unhurried experience.
03
Portrait Day
A calm, dog-led session. We work at your dog’s pace — leashed, off-leash, or close to you, whatever brings out their presence.
04
Artwork Reveal
You return to see your portraits presented beautifully, and we design the pieces together.
05
Artwork Delivery
Your finished, museum-quality artwork arrives ready to hang — made to last for generations.
The session is for your dog. The artwork is for you.
Reassurance
Whatever your dog is, we have a plan for it.
That is expected, and welcome. Sessions are dog-led and unhurried. Movement, curiosity, and energy often make the most honest portraits — we work with your dog rather than against them.
Perfectly fine. Leashes are easily removed in the final artwork when desired, and many portraits are made with your dog leashed and at ease the entire time.
We build in time for your dog to settle. There is no pressure and no rush — the first part of any session is simply letting your dog decide I am safe.
Tell me in advance and we will plan around it: a quiet location, careful timing, distance, and your handling. Many reactive dogs photograph beautifully when the environment is controlled.
Absolutely. “Dogs and Their People” portraits are some of the most meaningful work the studio makes.
Your dog’s favorite treats and a familiar toy, water, and anything that helps them feel at home. I will guide the rest.
In a controlled studio space, in meaningful outdoor locations across Middle Tennessee, or in your own home. We choose together during planning.
Earlier is better, especially for senior dogs or specific seasons. Reach out and we will find the right window.
